I’m very grateful to my wonderful clients who have taken the time to write some testimonials about how coaching with me has helped them on their journey.
Some have worked with me to explore and unravel their chronic pain issues. Others have wanted to work on reducing their stress and anxiety in their lives and on general wellbeing goals.
Phil has taught me to break things down and prioritise. It has been incredibly empowering. I wholeheartedly recommend working with Phil to anyone who feels stuck, overwhelmed or frustrated with some aspect of their life.
Back on track
I am experiencing full days completely symptom free now which I didn’t even know was possible anymore. My work with Phil has gone way beyond just benefiting my pain journey and improved all areas of my life. A dark cloud has lifted and I have hope again!
Coaching sessions with Phil have been enlightening and helpful for me. In less than five sessions I have already learned a lot about chronic pain, and have gained insights into patterns and beliefs that are likely contributing to my experience of symptoms.
Confidence at an all-time high
“Having life coaching with Phil did exactly what I was hoping it would – it moved my life in the direction I so desperately needed. My confidence is at an all-time high – I just needed to see the negative internal dialogue for what it was. UNHELPFUL and UNTRUE! His calm and kind self, put me at such ease, I was able to share so much more than I thought I ever could and therefore let go of baggage.” Ashley

“I am so thankful I have gotten to work with Phil! I’ve been on my mind-body healing journey, on my own, for the last 2 years. I’ve had symptoms most of my life, but they got disruptive to my well-being and functioning about 15 years ago. After finding out about TMS I initially had really great success on my own, but after a year I hit a major plateau and was starting to lose hope that I could really heal.
After working with Phil, I am back on track and feeling confident in my healing again! He has such a comforting presence, really listens, and offers the best insight into my jumbled thoughts. One of the greatest outcomes is I finally understand acceptance/outcome independence and I’m starting to be able to apply it in real life. This has helped my pain, but also many other aspects of my life—like when I don’t have the control I’d like over a situation during my day.
Although I am still having some symptom-rich days, I am also experiencing full days completely symptom free now which I didn’t even know was possible anymore. My work with Phil has gone way beyond just benefiting my pain journey and improved all areas of my life. A dark cloud has lifted and I have hope again!” Kelly
“I look forward to every coaching session with Phil. Yes I’ve read self help books and taken online courses. Absolutely nothing has helped me more than being able to express my feelings to someone who is very perceptive and intelligent. Phil’s knowledge and understanding has encouraged my self discovery process. I always leave the session with new ideas and feeling very confident I’m on the right path. Thank you Phil for listening and genuinely caring about me.” Terry Jo
“I started life coaching with Phil at a time when my head was so full of stress and muddle that I could barely begin to explain what I needed to change because there was just SO much stuff and nonsense in my life to wade through. Phil helped me order my thoughts and goals and tease out the most important things each week, helping me make sense of my ’spaghetti head’ and to prioritise what needed to shift to move towards greater happiness and fulfilment. By setting clear, achievable steps in place with Phil each week, I have been able to push past some of my blocks that were holding me back, make meaningful progress towards my goals in a relatively short amount of time, and finally clear some of the clutter in my brain.
Phil has taught me to break things down and prioritise. It has been incredibly empowering and I wholeheartedly recommend working with Phil to anyone who feels stuck, overwhelmed or frustrated with some aspect of their life.” CJ
“Coaching sessions with Phil have been enlightening and helpful for me. In less than five sessions I have already learned a lot about chronic pain, and have gained insights into patterns and beliefs that are likely contributing to my experience of symptoms. Perhaps most helpful of all are the practical strategies that we have discussed to help me begin making positive changes. I am encouraged by the progress I’ve made so far in my style of self-talk (which is increasing my feelings of confidence and calm), and am looking forward to continuing to work with Phil as a coach. With his gentle guidance I feel more hopeful about my future and well-being than I have in a long time.” Lisa
“I have been working with Phil on a weekly basis for the past two months as part of a multidisciplinary mind-body approach to addressing my longstanding chronic health ailments (7 years with post-concussion symptoms, neck pain + occipital neuralgia following two accidents). When I started working with Phil, I had been doing mind-body work for a little over 2 years. During this period, I had immersed myself in pain psychology/mind-body literature and podcasts, Curable Groups, therapy and worked extensively on learning to regulate my nervous system through restorative yoga and meditation practices. I had made great progress and significantly reduced my pain. I felt very invested in the mind-body approach to recovery at the time I had signed up to work with Phil. However, I felt I had plateaued in terms of my recovery and was still dealing with some lingering symptoms, especially as I navigated new life challenges (i.e. the loss of a parent, the stressors of the pandemic, graduation and carving a new career path.)
Working with Phil during this time of transition in my life provided me with a safe space to process these changes and helped me become more aware of my emotional triggers for pain. The work we have done together has also helped me address and process remaining doubts and fears I carried surrounding my pain and my future path. Working together has helped strengthen my belief in the mind/body approach and helped me develop a keen eye for finding the evidence of this in my own life (beyond simply believing the science and theories) and I have had several eye opening a-ha moments!. We have also worked on creating tangible and small but meaningful goals each week which has allowed me to address my fears and triggers in a way that has felt safe for my nervous system. This aspect of the work has been key for me and has helped me cultivate more self-trust and compassion—two critical components of mind/body recovery. Meeting regularly has provided accountability but also a sounding board to discuss how things are going and how I can continue to adapt my approaches to my pain and recovery.
I am benefiting so much from this work and cultivating safety in my body and my life. In addition to reducing my pain and feel of pain, the real gift has been seeing how I can live a more grounded and conscious life where I am more in tune with my body and emotions. I have been able to spend less time feeling dysregulated, hypervigilant and disassociated and more time in the present moment. I really can’t recommend Phil enough and it has been such a pleasure to work with him.” Michelle.
